I am at the Medina location – where is the entrance?

Good question! From Court Street, continue on Mill Street towards South Elmwood Avenue. You will pass our 2 workshop facilities on the left. The main reception area is the 3rd building just before Elmwood, with a customer parking area.

What are your hours?

Our hours for both locations are:
Monday 8 am – 6 pm
Tuesday 8 am – 5 pm
Wednesday 8 am – 5 pm
Thursday 8 am – 6 pm
Friday 8 am – 5 pm

What is the process to get repairs?

The best place to start is to bring your vehicle to one of our locations. Once your vehicle is at one of our facilities, we can determine the extent of damage and the time required to safely and thoroughly repair your car.

Depending on the extent of damage, some repairs can be performed in one day. However, the length of time required varies widely from case to case, so it really is best to bring your car in to us so we can evaluate it properly.

Do I need to get more than one estimate?

No you do not. You may have heard that you need three estimates, but by law this is NOT required.

Who do I pay the deductible to?

If you are making a claim on your insurance, most insurance companies require the policy holder to pay a deductible. You would make that deductible payment to us.

Some repair shops say they can “save” you the deductible. In this case, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Shops that are “saving” your deductible are often creating unnecessary repairs to make up that fee or, of even greater concern, not performing all of the work outlined in the insurance company’s estimate or to the same degree of quality or thoroughness as the estimate specifies.

South of the Square believes in transparency and doing things the right way – the first time, every time. Our number one priority is good customer service, which includes honesty, safety and the highest quality repair work.

Can I pick my own repair facility, or do I need to use the one my insurer recommends?

You can work with the company of your choosing. As the owner of a motor vehicle involved in an accident or submitting an insurance claim, you have the right to choose the shop where you wish to have your vehicle repaired. Verify your shop of choice is registered with the state of Ohio and look for certificates of technician training and memberships in professional associations.

Can I have work done without making a claim to my insurance company?

Yes, you can for simple repairs. This is not recommended for more extensive damage.

Do you participate in insurance referral programs?

We work with all insurance companies. We do participate in some direct referral partner programs. Please call one of our locations to see if we participate in your insurance company’s program:

Who should I talk to in order to make arrangements for repair?

Generally, before authorizing any repairs, be sure to notify your insurance company and tell them where you have taken your vehicle. Insurance policies almost always require notification and they will likely have questions regarding your accident that only you can answer. The insurance company may send an adjuster to inspect the vehicle and review the repair facility’s estimate and recommendations before approving any repairs.

Can you help me arrange for vehicle pick-up and delivery?

Can you help me secure a rental car?

Is there a warranty for the work done at South of the Square?

We do offer a limited lifetime warranty on all vehicle repairs, with the exception of rust damage. Click [here] for full warranty details.
